4y <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />February 25, 1975 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met at a <br />Special Meeting, (notice of which was delivered to all Council <br />members) on Tuesday, February 25, 1975 at 8:00 P.M. <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:03 P.M. by the Council <br />President Pro-tem, Mr. Robert Barclay. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Barclay, Bordonaro, Ficken, <br />Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte <br />Absent Mayor Leech, Mr. Prager and Mr. Bennett <br />Also present: Mr. Byrnes <br />Mr. Barclay stated the purpose of this Council meeting is to <br />set a date for a Public Hearing to amend an Ordinance for Off- <br />Street Parking. <br />Mr. Barclay asked for comments from the floor. <br />Mr. Ron Barnett, Aintree Park Apartments, acted as a spokesman <br />for the apartment residents. He stated he had received numerous <br />phone calls at his office regarding the "No Parking" signs posted <br />on the North side of Aintree Park Drive. The apartment people <br />are not behind this. Eight homeowners on Aintree Park had signed <br />a petition requesting the sign. <br />Mr. Barnett presented Mr. Barclay with a petition containing 40 <br />or 50 names of Apartment residents, requesting Council to study <br />the No Parking limitation. <br />He also statod some of the courtesies extended to the homeowners <br />by the apartment, i.e. use of the apartment parking, use of the <br />pool for owners and guests. <br />Mr. Jerry Cianciolo, Aintree Park Apartment, stated the apartment <br />residents always parked on the North side. Parking becomes a <br />problem when there is a party. The apartment owners feel the <br />signs were put up without proper notification. <br />Mrs. Virginia McCabe, 891 Aintree Park, stated it is impossible <br />to carry groceries from her garage to the apartment, therefore <br />she parks in the street. The women are apparently afraid to <br />enter the garage at night. She would like to see 24 hours park- <br />ing permitted. <br />Mr. Schulte, stated that these signs were not "put up over night". <br />There has been a parking problem in the Aintree. section for over <br />two years. The homeowners had presented their problems at <br />previous council meetings on numerous occasions. <br />
