Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Ficken, Mrs. Negrelli and Messrs., Prager and Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Ordinance Passed Resolution ,"WATER SERVICE AGREEMENT", is still pending. Ordinance 75-9, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE NO. 960, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 159, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 71-36 BY CHANGING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR OFF-STREET PARKING OF ORDINANCE N0. 73-4". This ordinance has been introduced and a Public Hearing was held April 7, 1975. Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Ficken, made a motion to suspend the rules of laws requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Ficken, Mrs. Negrelli and Messrs., Prager and Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Ficken, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to pass Ordinance 75-9. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Ficken, Mrs. Negrelli and Messrs., Prager and Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Ordinance Passed NEW BUSINESS Ordinance 75-11, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THE REQUIRE- MENTS FOR THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SMOKE DETECTION DEVICES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was intro- duced by Mr. Barclay. Mr. Prager asked for comments from the floor: Mr. Ralph Vara asked why a smoke detector and not a heat detector. Mayor Leech answered that during afire, more people are overcome by smoke more so than the actual flames. Mr. Barclalr and Mr. Relic demonstrated how the smoke detector works. Mrfl Schulte, seconded by Mr. Ficken, made a motion to suspend the rules of laws requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
