~~ <br />-2- <br />Mr. Barclay, seconded by Mrs. Negrelli, made a motion to approve <br />the minutes of the September 8, 1975 Special Council Meeting. <br />Ro11 Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bluhm, Ficken, Mrs. Negrelli <br />and Mr. Prager <br />NAYS: None <br />ABSTAIN: Mr. Schulte <br />PASS: Mr. Bennett <br />Mayor's Comments <br />Mayor Leech reported that appropriate chemicals were being <br />investigated for spraying of ponds and streams to try and eliminate <br />the existing mosquito problem. Mr. Amendola is checking into some <br />chemicals which can be used. The Mayor suggested that if any resi- <br />dent has a specific problem, contact the Service Department. <br />The Mayor apologized for not being able to attend the Town Hall <br />Meeting on September 11th, due to the fact that he was detained in <br />Washington. He had hoped that all would vote and vote yes for the <br />bond issue. He stated that the new building would be the most <br />logical and economical way. <br />The Mayor advised Council that insurance bids for bonding of Village <br />officials were received. He stated that advertised bids were not <br />necessary for amounts under $2,500. <br />Council President's Comments <br />Mr. Prager thanked Mr. Relic, Finance Director for sending out a <br />very informative letter to the residents giving facts related to <br />the Bond Issue. <br />Mr. Prager commented on a lengthy document received from Senator <br />Calabrese covering over 100 major bills acted upon by the recent <br />session of the Ohio Legislature. <br />He also advised that a joint meeting is set up with a representative <br />from the Gates Mills and Mayfield Village Police Departments and <br />Council to discuss the truck traffic problem on Wilson Mills Road. <br />Mr. Prager advised the following topics to be discussed at the <br />September 23rd Council Caucus. <br />1. Intrusion and Burglary Ordinance <br />2. East Ohio Gas Co. <br />3. House Bill No. 475 - Liquor Permits <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />There was none. <br />1 <br />
