~~ -2- Mr. Barclay, seconded by Mrs. Negrelli, made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 8, 1975 Special Council Meeting. Ro11 Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bluhm, Ficken, Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Prager NAYS: None ABSTAIN: Mr. Schulte PASS: Mr. Bennett Mayor's Comments Mayor Leech reported that appropriate chemicals were being investigated for spraying of ponds and streams to try and eliminate the existing mosquito problem. Mr. Amendola is checking into some chemicals which can be used. The Mayor suggested that if any resi- dent has a specific problem, contact the Service Department. The Mayor apologized for not being able to attend the Town Hall Meeting on September 11th, due to the fact that he was detained in Washington. He had hoped that all would vote and vote yes for the bond issue. He stated that the new building would be the most logical and economical way. The Mayor advised Council that insurance bids for bonding of Village officials were received. He stated that advertised bids were not necessary for amounts under $2,500. Council President's Comments Mr. Prager thanked Mr. Relic, Finance Director for sending out a very informative letter to the residents giving facts related to the Bond Issue. Mr. Prager commented on a lengthy document received from Senator Calabrese covering over 100 major bills acted upon by the recent session of the Ohio Legislature. He also advised that a joint meeting is set up with a representative from the Gates Mills and Mayfield Village Police Departments and Council to discuss the truck traffic problem on Wilson Mills Road. Mr. Prager advised the following topics to be discussed at the September 23rd Council Caucus. 1. Intrusion and Burglary Ordinance 2. East Ohio Gas Co. 3. House Bill No. 475 - Liquor Permits OLD BUSINESS There was none. 1
