`~,~+,~ <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />February 16, 1976 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met in regular <br />session at the Village Hall on Monday, February 16, 1976 at <br />8:00 P.M. Council President, Robert Barclay presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag ~~aas given. <br />Ro11 Call: Fresent: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, <br />Grogan, Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte <br />Absent None <br />Also present were Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Hovancsek <br />Morrison, Relic, Chief Hejcl and Chief Shortle <br />Mr. Barclay opened the meeting by asking for comments from the floor: <br />Dale Markewicz, 100 Center Street, Chardon, Ohio, representative for <br />Don-Ray Products, requested some action from the Village Council to <br />a letter from DonRay Products that is before the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission. Mr. Markewicz explained that DonRay submitted an appli- <br />cation for an addition to its present building, which would improve <br />the growth of their business. Mr. Markewicz stated that a letter was <br />received from the Planning & Zoning Commission denying the expansion <br />for industrial use. Land is zoned for residential use. He advised <br />that the Village is being sued due to denial of use. If Council <br />takes action, damages could be lessened. Mr. Barclay replied that <br />the subject matter would be reviewed by the Lava Director. <br />Bob Bugoci - 6752 Hickory Hill Dr., complained about the ~~aater problem <br />in his basement backing up as a result of the water run-off from <br />SOM Center Rd. He stated he allowed a Swale to be put in to help <br />his neighbors water problem, and now he has all the water. He also <br />claims that some of the residents on Hickory Hill have filled~in <br />the swales in front of their homes and water is being routed in his <br />back yard. He was very firm in stating, "that something must be <br />done'° <br />Mr. Hovancsek replied that the land is rolling and at the time the <br />land was developed it met the sewer requirements. He suggested per- <br />haps swales be cut deeper. Drainage problem was reviewed quite <br />extensively last summer. <br />J.M. Sawicki - 481 Woodbine Circle, complained he has water back-up <br />into his basement everytime there is a flash flood. Damage io the <br />inside of his home is approximately $2,400. He insisted that some- <br />thing be done immediately. <br />Mr. Hovancsek replied that the proposed sewer improvement c~~ork on <br />SOM near Hickory Hill should help his problem. <br />
