~. <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />April 19, 1976 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met in regular <br />session on Monday, April 19, 1976 at 8:00 P.A4. in the Village <br />Hall. Council President, Robert Barclay presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan, <br />Mrs. Negrel'li and Mr. Schulte <br />Absent None <br />Also present were Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Byrnes, Foltz, <br />Hovancsek, Chief Hejcl and Chief Shortle <br />Mr. Barclay opened the meeting by asking for comments from the floor: <br />Bob Lupo; 650 SOM Center Road. Mr. Lupo questioned Council as to <br />the ordinance pertaining to parking of commercial vehicles on resi- <br />dential property. He stated this situation was brought to cour t <br />by a resident of Lyndhurst, banning commercial vehicles parked in <br />residential property and the Judge ruled in favor of the resident. <br />Mr. Byrnes advised that this was not a law of Ohio and no opinion <br />for finding of facts has been concluded. He indicated the City of <br />Lyndhurst may appeal the case. <br />Mr. Lupo stated that if this was an unprecedented law, he could <br />leave his truck parked in his yard. <br />Mr. Barclay replied that the existing ordinance of Mayfield Village <br />still applies. <br />Joe Scaccia, 1013 Lander Road, stated that he was forced to get rid <br />of his truck because he could not park it in his drive. He also <br />stated that the Police should enforce the banning of commercial <br />vehicles for everyone. He claims he has seen trucks, busses, etc. <br />parked in residential driveways. <br />Mr. Barclay advised that he should contact the Police Department and <br />make a report of his findings. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that we have an extremely efficient Police Depart- <br />ment and that they do follow the ordinances pertaining to this situ- <br />ation. <br />Al Scaccia, 469 SOM Center Road, stated that he was forced to remove <br />two old cars from his yard simply because they did not have current <br />year license plates. He said that there were other yards in the <br />Village that have old cars sitting in the yard, such as the Arco <br />Station next to the Village Hall. <br />
