x_77 <br />• MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />May 17, 1976 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met in regular <br />session on Monday, May 17, 1976 at 8:00 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br />Council President, Robert Barclay presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Buses, Flynn, <br />Grogan, Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte <br />Absent None <br />Also present were Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Byrnes, <br />Hovancsek, Relic, Chief Hejcl and Chief Shortle <br />Mr. Barclay opened the meeting by asking for comments from the floor: <br />Dennis Rash, 823 Beech Hill, speaking for Mr. Vienna, Mr. Froba:ta, <br />Mr. Watson and several other residents on Beech Hill, stated that <br />they were concerned with the action taken by Council regarding the <br />paving of Beech Hill. He stated that a meeting held with the resi- <br />dents along with Mr. Barclay and Mr. Hovancsek that of the three <br />choices presented, the residents chose Plan B, but when their wishes <br />were taken back to Council, Plan B was unacceptable. Mr. Rash stated <br />that Plan B was selected so as not to destroy trees that were some <br />20 years old and to use existing ditch. <br />Mr. Barclay replied that once again the Beech Hill paving situation <br />would be discussed further with Council. <br />There being no further comments that portion of the meeting concluded. <br />Mr. Buses, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to approve the <br />minutes of the April 19, 1976 meeting. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Buses, Flynn, Grogan, <br />Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Mayor's Comments: <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Mayor Beebe advised that two new Police officers were appointed and <br />would be sworn in this evening. The Mayor wished to thank the <br />Civil Service Commission for their hard work in the past four months <br />exploring sources. He said that over 100 applications were sub- <br />mitted. The Mayor and Chief Shortle interviewed the final 6 appli- <br />cants for their selection of: <br />David Wiley <br />Roy Dobson, Jr. <br />
