~;~r <br />-2- <br />Mr. Wiley and Mr. Dobson were sworn in by Mr. Byrnes. <br />The Mayor introduced James Robertson, appointed to the Volunteer <br />Fire Department. Mr. Robertson was sworn in by Mr. Byrnes. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that he was sympathetic with Mr. Rash and all <br />the other residents on Beech Hill. He urged Council to take a <br />second look at the whole situation. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Ordinance 76-13: Off-Street Parking, was given third reading. <br />Public Hearing date is May 25th at 7:30 P.M. Mr. Barclay asked <br />Mr. Schulte to obtain approval from the Planning & Zoning Commission. <br />Ordinance 76-14: Prohibiting the Operation of Trucks on Wilson Mills. <br />Given second reading. <br />Mr. Barclay advised that Wilson Mills east of SOM will be closed for <br />approximately two months for sewer repair. Residents have been not- <br />ified. <br />NEW BUSINESS° <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to accept final <br />plans for the Ro-Nay Plaza. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan, <br />Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Plans Accepted <br />Ordinance 76-16; Increasing the Rate of Parking Fines. <br />Mr. Byrnes gave a brief explanation of the contents of the ordinance. <br />However, Mr. Barclay suggested that comments be obtained from the <br />Safety Committee before final ordinance is drafted. <br />Resolution 927, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE <br />DIRECTOR TO REQUEST TENDER OF BIDS FOR RUBBISH PICK-UP", was intro- <br />duced by Council as A Whole. <br />Mr. Grogan stated that specification should be clarified as to the <br />term garbage and rubbish. Mr. Hovancsek suggested that the correct <br />technical term used is "solid-waste". Specs will be corrected. <br />Mr. Busa stated that the specifications had been accepted by the <br />Public Service & Public Utilities Committee. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to adopt <br />Resolution 927. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan, <br />Mrs. Negrelli and Mr. Schulte <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />1 <br />1 <br />
