~~~ <br />- 3- <br />1 <br />Mr. Barclay postponed the remaining New Business portion until <br />Standing Committee Reports were given. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Finance ~ Mr. Bennett advised that Council will no longer review and <br />pass the Pay Ordinance. Mr. Byrnes read a portion from the Charter <br />of finding for the change. <br />Mr. Grogan stated that many communities have ordinances pertaining <br />to finance and expenditure:?of funds, and that he intends to intro- <br />duce such an ordinance through the Finance Committee. <br />Mr. Relic stated that once Council has approved the entire budget, <br />the Finance Director has authority vested in his office according <br />to the Charter and Ohio State Code the authority to approve all in- <br />voices. However, non-budgetary items will need Council approval. <br />,Public Service & Public Utilities Committee - Mr. Busa read the <br />minutes of the May, 1976 meeting. He stated the three recommended <br />priorities were: <br />1. Kenwood area repaving <br />2. Bike path <br />3. Billage Hall parking area. <br />Bicentennial - Mrs. Negrelli advised that an important meeting of <br />the committee will be held May 27th at 8:00 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br />Slides of Mayfield Township will be shown by Mr. Pollach starting <br />at 8:00 P.M. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Negrelli reported that the annual meeting was held <br />and all is going well. <br />Council of Councils - Mrs. Negrelli stated that at the last meeting, <br />Fire Chief Schumaker of Willoughby Hills showed slides of their <br />Paramedic Rescue Squad. <br />Planning & Zoning - Mr. Schulte read the minutes of the May 10, 1976 <br />meeting. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Schulte read minutes of the April 20, 1976 <br />meeting. <br />Recreation - Mr. Bennett reported that the summer program is ready <br />to roll. The next meeting will be held May 19, 1976. <br />MARC - Mr. Flynn advised that copies of minutes from the last meeting <br />will be distributed to Council. <br />NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br />Resolution 928, entitled; "A RESOLUTION URGING THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS TO IMPROVE AND WIDEN THE INTERSECTION OF LANDER ROAD <br />AND RIDGEBURY BOULEVARD IN HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO", was introduced <br />by Council as a Whole <br />
