~` •J <br />~~=~._1 <br />-v° <br />GENERAL COMMENTS: <br />Mr. Relic advised that he had sent a memo to all Department Heads <br />requesting budget appropriations for 1977. Recommendations should <br />be in the hands of the Committee by December 1. <br />He also said that he received certification today of the unemployment <br />rate of 7.9/ for Mayfield Village, vahich should be in our favor for <br />Federal Funding. <br />Mr. Campanella wished to advise Council that in reference to pending <br />litigation, Charles Studen v. Robert S. Beebe, et al, the Judge <br />issued a ruling in favor of each of the past and present officials <br />(Robert Beebe et al). He thanked all those who worked so hard in <br />preparation of the case. <br />1 <br />Mr. Hovancsek reported on the follovaing: <br />(1) 5OM Drainage work completed. <br />(2) No. Aintree Sub-Division, Phase I, seeding of development must <br />be completed. <br />(3) Kenwood area road repairs have been completed. <br />(4) Federal Public Tr7orks Application for drainage problems will be <br />submitted through the County Engineers office. <br />(5) Survey was made in 1975 of a traffic count at SOM & Highland <br />Road. Survey found traffic to be very heavy and he strongly <br />suggests a traffic signal. He said that costs can be defrayed <br />through the $5.00 license tag fees. <br />Mr. Barclay turned the request of the traffic signal over to the <br />Public Safety Committee. <br />Mr. Amendola advised that the County ~vill not move the shut-off <br />valve on Mr. Michalko's property (j^7ilson Mills). The only thing <br />the Village can do would be to reset the sleeve. <br />Mr. Bordonaro advised that he had heard several favorable comments <br />regarding the Questionnaire sent out by the Mayor. He also wanted <br />to know when Swine Flu shots would be available to the Villagers? <br />Mr. Grogan advised the nearest location would be Richmond Mall - first <br />Sunday in November. <br />Mr. Bordonaro expressed to Council what an outstanding job Mr. Campa- <br />nella did in representing the Village during the Studen Case. <br />Mr. Bennett asked if the $5.00 license tag fees could be used for <br />State roads: <br />Mr. Hovancsek replied yes since Highland Road (County Road) <br />intersects with SOM Center. <br />
