-s- ~. <br />Mr. Hovancsek reported: <br />(1) Beech Hill paving completed. <br />(2) North Aintree Subdivision Phase I - questions have been raised <br />as to whether or not the original grade plan is being used. (A <br />lengthy discussion followed). It was the feeling of Council that <br />Mr. Hovancsek find out what the contractor is going to do with <br />the dirt piled on the Southeast corner near 'the Cemetery and <br />that no money be released until the contractor complies with the <br />proper grade plan. <br />(3) Tackas Property - Mr. Hovancsek is getting a letter from a nursery <br />to determine the exact damage of the two trees on his property. <br />(4) Flood Plain Insurance - ~Ir. Hovancsek stated he talked to someone <br />in Washington and Chicago relating to the legislation of the <br />Ordinances. They would like to review the ordinances. <br />(5) Idr. Hovancsek met with Mr. Jackman re the synchronization of <br />ti~ilson Mills. <br />Mayor Beebe advised that the outlet of Zorn Lane into Wildwood Trail <br />has been barricaded until such time construction stops. Trucks have <br />been using Zorn Lane and could deteriorate the road very rapidly. <br />i <br />J <br />1 <br />Mr. Busa asked if the "Good Neighbor Award" presented by the Sun Papers <br />was ever given to Mr. James Chontos. Judy Ernest of the Sun Papers was <br />in the audience and said that she had the placque with her and thought <br />that the Mayor should present it to Mr. Chontos. Mr. Busa said he would <br />try to have Mr. Chontos attend the December meeting for presentation. <br />Mr. Bordonaro asked Mr. Relic if anything was being done about a tax <br />roll back? <br />Mr. Relic replied that he is waiting for an answer from the County <br />Auditor. <br />Mr. Bordonaro also questioned street repairing for 1977? <br />Mr. Relic replied that monies will be on the low side, however whatever <br />money is available, priority streets will be done first. <br />Mr. Bordonaro brought up the problem once again about bus service on <br />Beta Drive and was concerned about the handicapped employees who work <br />for Dice Inc. and have to walk in the street. <br />Mayor Beebe replied that he has had several letters from RTA regarding <br />this situation. <br />A lengthy discussion followed. <br />The Mayor said he would send a letter once again to the companies in <br />the Industrial Park asking for their support with RTA. It was also <br />suggested perhaps street lighting and sidewalks be installed. <br />Mr. Bennett stated that a millage roll back may not be such a good <br />idea since we just borrowed $100,000. He also stated that residents \ <br />should be made aware of decreasing taxes in the past although services <br />have been increasing. <br />
