Mr. Hovancsek said that the State did not wish to set a
precedent on the inclusion of a Bike Path at this time. The road re-
surfacing should be scheduled for~the Fall of 1977.
Mayor Beebe asked why the State would be involved in the bike path if
the Village were to supply the funds and the State contractor would
make the addition to the berm as he did the State work?
Mr. Hovancsek explained that the original bike path had been laid
out some 7'-0 from the berm. The present manuals that he has reviewed
indicate that the State would require a 6'-0 minimum path for one way
use and recommends an 8'-0 path for two way use.
