~,~~ <br />-2- <br />Mr. Bennett asked if when the resurfacing was done would the <br />State stripe the road? <br />Mr. Hovancsek replied that since the road is State responsibility <br />it could be assumed that they would be responsible for striping. <br />Mr. Busa stated that he would go along with the rest of Council on <br />the approval of the Ordinance but suggested a resolution be pre- <br />pared to accompany the ordinance to consider widening of the road <br />at this time. <br />Mr. Hovancsek pointed out that other communities that have been on <br />the State's list for road widening, are still waiting. <br />Mr. Bordonaro questioned the obligation of the State regarding the <br />Bike Path at the time of widening? <br />Mr. Hovancsek replied that once the State has completed their work <br />on the roadway, they would have to replace the Bike Path. <br />Mr. Relic read a letter he received from Mr. Jackson of the State <br />in regard to the widening of the roadway. Mr. Jackson stated the <br />State was evaluating their road lists every three months and that <br />he would keep in touch with Mr. Relic. <br />Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro made a motion to suspend <br />the rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three <br />separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, <br />Flynn, Grogan and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to pass <br />Ordinance 76-30. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, <br />Flynn, Grogan and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Barclay asked the Engineer if the recent traffic survey indi- <br />cated the need for a 4 lane road on SOM at this time. <br />Mr. Hovancsek replied that according to the survey that it did ` <br />not so indicate. <br />
