-3- <br />`~~~ <br />Mr. Barclay advised that the Ordinance will go to the electorate for <br />final passage. <br />Ordinances 76-24, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING REGULATION FOR <br />FLOOD HAZARD AREA5 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY". <br />This ordinance also received recommendation for passage from the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mr. Buses, seconded8by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to pass Ordinance 76-24. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn and Schulte <br />NAY5: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Grogan arrived at this time and wished to cast an AYE vote for <br />Ordinance 76-23 and Ordinance 76-24. <br />Mr. James Chontos arrived with his family and was presented his award <br />by Mr. Barclay. He was congratulated by Council and his family was <br />introduced. <br />Resolution 968;~,entitled; "ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY AT NORTHWEST CORNER <br />OF SOME CENTER ROAD AND WILSON MILLS ROAD BY RIGHT OF EMINENT DOMAIN". <br />Mr. Grogan stated a special committee should review this resolution. <br />before passage. <br />Mr. Buses stated that he sees no reason why this should go to a special <br />committee since much time and discussion has already taken place. <br />Mr. Schulte suggested Council make a decision to either pass or defer <br />passage, however it may be wise to wait until we have a full Council <br />for response. <br />Mr. Bennett stated that the Federal Grant has no bearing on obtaining <br />this property. <br />Mr. Barclay suggested Resolution 968 be given a second reading until <br />the January meeting. <br />Mr. Byrnes arrived at this time. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Ordinance 76-31, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR THE <br />IMPROVEMENT OF BEECH HILL ROAD NORTHERLY FROM IT5 INTERSECTION WITH <br />SENECA DRIVE A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 685 FEET BY PAVING THEREOF, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was introduced by Council as a Whole. <br />1 <br />
