.~ <br />MINUTES OF REGUZAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />February 21, 1977 <br />The Council of the Village of Payfield Village met in regular session <br />on Monday, February 21, 1977 at 8:00 P.M. in the Village Hall. Council <br />President, Robert Grogan presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, <br />Flynn, Grogan and Schulte <br />Absent None <br />Also present were Messrs., Amendola, Campanella, Foltz, Hovancsek, <br />Relic, Chief Hejcl and Chief 5hortle <br />Mr. Grogan advised the first order of business was to introduce Sebra <br />Bennett as a member of the Recreation Board. Miss Bennett was sworn <br />in by Mr. Campanella. <br />Mr. Grogan also introduced John Wilson was caas reappointed to the <br />Architectural Review Board. Mr. Wilson was sworn in by Mr. Campanella. <br />Mr. Grogan asked if there were any comments from the floor: <br />George Henwood, 6482 Foxboro Dr. - stated that for the past two weeks <br />the water pressure has been very, very low in the Aintree area. He <br />also said that they never have sufficient water pressure. <br />Mr. Amendola replied that the reason was due to a broken water main on <br />Wilson Mills causing reduced pressure until it could be repaired. <br />Mr. Barclay said that presently several suburban communities were in- <br />volved in litigation with the Cleveland Regional Water System to pro- <br />vide for better water service to the suburbs. <br />Mr. Hovancsek commented that he suggest some support from Council in <br />sending a letter to the City of Cleveland, requesting an extension of <br />a 24" existing main which terminates just west of I-271, to have it <br />extended east down Wilson Mills to 5OM Center Road. <br />Mr. Flynn asked Chief Hejcl what the water flow pressure is in case <br />of fire? The Chief replied that it is low. Mr. Flynn suggeste Chief <br />Hejcl run a flow test. <br />Mr. Flynn asked Mr. Hovancsek what the funding of an extension would be: <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated that the suburbs pay higher water water rates than <br />Cleveland therefore there should be no additional assessment. Funds <br />could be provided from the present water rates. <br />There being no further comments, that portion of the meeting concluded. <br />
