ca - 7- Mr. Relic advised that only one bid was received, that one by Deacon's Chrysler for 2 police .cruisers at $5,557 each. Therefore Deacon's is the lowest and best bid. Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to suspend the reules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to adopt Res. 979. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn, ` Grogan and Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Resolution Adopted Mr. Relic advised Council that the present Police False Arrest Insurance expired March 16. It is very difficult to obtain this type of insurance and other municipalities are experiencing the same problem. He received one bid from Western World Ins. Co., however they Caere not licensed in Ohio and was asking for authorization from Council to sign the affidavit. Chief 5hortle stated that his officers should not operate without false arrest insurance. It is too risky and he feels they should not jeopor- adize their home or families. Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to get a 30 day binder on this policy and advertise for bids. Mr. Relic stated that this office would not be held responsible if we were unable to obtain a binder. Roll Call: AYES; Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and Schulte NAYS: None Motion Carried Ordinance 77-13, entitled; "COMPENSATION FOR LAW DIRECTOR". Given, second reading by Mr. Barclay. Once again Mr. Grogan rules the ordinance out of order. Mr. Grogan explained that Ordinance 76-35, "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE ELECTORATE OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE MUNICIPAL CHARTER" did not appear on the agenda since there will not be a June election.
