~~ -~3- <br />Ordinance 77-21, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMIS= <br />SION TO THE ELECTORATE OF AN 1-~Mu'IQDMENT TO THE IVIUNICTP.~L CHr~RTER OF <br />I~IAYFIELD VILLAGE , OHIO , ?AND DECLA RING AN EMERGENCY" , Baas introduced <br />by Mr. Flynn. <br />Ordinance 77-21 was given First Reading. <br />GENERAL COI~II~'IENTS <br />Mayor Beebe vrondered what Chief Hejcl's findings ~=;ere on the Lieu- <br />tenants situation? <br />Mayor Beebe said completion date on resurfacing of S.O.M. Center is <br />August 15, 1977. He suggested that a titi~hite line be placed to desig- <br />nate the additional three:~feet the road is being widened, which, <br />~,iould also serve as a place for the bicyclist to ride. He asked I~Ir. <br />Byrnes if it ~ti7ould be legal to erect a sign saying, "Bicyclist--- <br />I:eep to the Right?" He suggested Mr. Hovancsek conFirm the state <br />doing this, or, if they will not, asked for Councils approval for <br />the appropriation of funds from the Village. <br />Nir. Relic agreed. <br />sir. Relic said that information regarding lighting assessment ~rould <br />be discussed at Caucus. <br />Mr. Hovancse]t commented that he did another inspection at North Ain- <br />tree. A list of corrections would be sent t.o=the contractor. <br />Mr. Amendola stated that he and the Fire Department, Chief Hejcl, <br />had started fire inspection today of the apartment units in the Village. <br />Mr. Bordonaro asked Mr. Relic if X300.00 was in the Budget for main- <br />tenance of the Union Cemetery. Mr. Relic replied that it v,~as. <br />Mr. Bordonaro asked what about,_ Beechers Brook? <br />~'ir. Amendola said he was vaaiting for an answer to his letter. <br />Mr. Bennett asked who would write a repeal to Ordinance 77-4 for him? <br />Ilir. Byrnes said he would if the need arises. <br />Mayor Beebe said he received a letter form Chief Shortle saying that <br />no mutual aid contract from Willoughby Hi11s for the Police had been <br />prepared. Mr. Byrnes must come up with an ordinance for this. <br />Mr. Barclay announced a meeting of the residents of Echo Drive had <br />been held and they were willing to pay to have the ditching done to <br />help the flooding situation. <br />Mr. Barclay said it should be paid for by the residents, county, and <br />the Village. <br />
