-: i..-z <br />c,o a~ <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR P~ETING <br />Village of I~layfield Village <br />June 20, 1977 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session <br />on Monday, June 20, 1977 at 8:00 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br />Council President, Robert Grogan presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn, <br />Grogan and Schulte <br />Absent: Mr. Barclay <br />Also Aresent T,~aere: Mayor Beebe, rlessrs. , 1.4mendola, Byrnes, Foltz, <br />Chief Hejcl, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Relic and <br />Sergeant Litman <br />PUBLIC HE.t=sRIIrTG: <br />NIr. Grogan stated the purpose of the public hearing is for the <br />public to make comments concerning the 1978 Tax Budget. <br />Mr. Relic stated the Tax Budget is a "tentative" budget and mainly <br />used by the County Auditor and local government to see how the mon- <br />ies will be distributed. <br />Mr. Relic reported that funds were appropriated to pay off the <br />$100,000 note including the interest and to also provide for an <br />additional full-time Fireman along with a new Van-type vehicle. <br />I~2r. Relic stated that during 1977, this current year, our rate of <br />tax mills is 7.70 and the ne~a estimated rate is 7.65 mills; a re- <br />duction of .05 mills. There has been a steady reduction in mills <br />for the last five years due to lower requirement for bonded debt. <br />Mr. Grogan asked ii' there were any pros or cons from the Floor? <br />Resident, Mrs. Charlotte Boger, asked if they hadn't seen the Tax <br />Budget, how could they state either way: <br />I~Yr. Relic said it had been advertised in the local newspapers that <br />the Budget was open to the public for inspection in the Finance <br />Directors office. He said if anyone wanted to see the Budget and/ <br />or had any questions, he would be happy to discuss it in detail <br />at the Special Meeting of July ll, 1977. <br />Mrs. Fitzgerald, of X900 Z~lilson ~2ills Rd. , aslced if there is a <br />copy available? <br />Mr. Relic replied no, but she was free to read the one in his office <br />although the normal layman would probably not be able to properly <br />understand it. <br />
