Bennett asked Mr. Relic if he would arrange to meet v~ith <br />the Budget and appropriation Committee to go over the Tax Budget? <br />Mr. Relic was in agreement to a meeting on June 23, 1977 at <br />8000 P.M. in his office. <br />Nlr. Grogan mentioned that on page nine the amount of $30,000 was <br />allocated for legal fees. He asked Mr. Relic Nova, since the al- <br />location (amount) was based on previous years expense, did he <br />feel $30,000 would cover the next years expenses: This years <br />expense was well over the $30,000. <br />Mr. Relic felt it would still be sufficient for the next year. <br />Mr. Relic mentioned the expense of Rubish and Garbage is fairly <br />consistant because it is under contract. <br />A~Ir. Relic also said the Budget included the estimated amount of <br />$14,485 from the Federal Revenue Sharing Plan that was-used for <br />wages in the Police Deptm: <br />Mrs. Charlotte Boger, of 684 r+Ieadocti*ood Dr. , asked if the lazy re- <br />quired the Revenue Sharing funds to be used in the Police Dept. <br />only? <br />Mr. Relic replied these funds could be used as street funds (for <br />an example) but it balanced itself out. <br />Mrs. Boger as',~ed how many police officers and firemen were in the <br />employment of Idayfield Village> <br />The reply ti-vas 12 policemen and 2 firemen. <br />Mr. Busa asked Mr. Relic if he considered wage increases in the <br />Tax Budget? <br />I~1r. Relic replied yes. <br />Mayor Beebe commended Mr. Relic on his ~a~ell done job of the Budget. <br />Mr. Grogan asked ~_f there vaere further comments from the floor, <br />there being none, that portion of the meeting closed. <br />OP1;~1 PORTION: <br />Mrs. Boger announced the disbanding of the P~Iayfield Community Club <br />and would like to donate the silver service and lace tablecloth to <br />the Garden Club; the books, gavel, and artifacts to the Historical <br />Society anc~ also the red, embroided tablecloth if someone should <br />happen to find it, and some money had been given to students for <br />scholarships. <br />She presented Chief Hejcl and Sgt. Litman with checks each in the <br />amount of $355 for the Firernens association and Police Department <br />for equipment. <br />She also expressed her appreciation to Gus ~mendola and Les Foltz <br />for their help in the past. <br />
