~~ -2- <br />There being no further comments, that portion of the meeting closed. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a,~motaon to approve the <br />minutes of the June 20, 1977 fl2eeting. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan and <br />Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />OBSTAIN: Mr. Barclay <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />There was a discussion of the Special Meeting minutes of July 11, <br />1977 with corrections to be made. <br />Mr. Barclay, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to tab3e the min. <br />until Council's next regular meeting. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />PASS: Mr. Grogan <br />MAYORS COMMENTS: <br />Motion Carried <br />Min~:~.tes Tabled <br />1 <br />Mayor Beebe commented that it was refreshing to see such a large <br />group attending the meeting. <br />He expressed his appreciation to Chief Shortle for his fine repre- <br />sentation of the Village at the Memorial Services held for former <br />Mayor, Clarence Endress. <br />The Mayor complimented Mr. Amendola on the paint job of the Service <br />Dep artments Building. <br />He reported that he had received two balloon-post cards from Meadville, <br />and unofficially the first received would most likely be the farthest <br />traveled. Final results would be reported after Labor Day. <br />He said he had received a letter=-from Mr. Hovancsek reporting that <br />we are not eligible for the funds from Public Works Round II because <br />we do not meet the required 5.5/ unemployment rate. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS: <br />The Mayor said he had received in today's mail, a letter from the State <br />Liquor Control Board notification that a beer:~permit had been issued to <br />Lawson's Milk Company, located within a few feet of the Methodist <br />Church, although objections had been raised. <br />Mr. Grogan reported that he had attended a public hearing at Lynd- <br />hurst City Hall of the Regional Sewer District.
