~:~ <br />-4- <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Flynn and Grogan <br />NAYS: Messrs., Barclay and Schulte <br />Motion NOT Carried <br />Ordinance Defeated <br />Mr. Grogan said he thought it was a shame this particular issue <br />couldn't have been left up to the people. <br />Ordinance 77-19, entitled 01AN ORDINAriCE MAILING A SUPPLEMENTAL <br />APPROPRIATION OF $11,420.00 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE SAFETY <br />DEPARTMENT FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF ONE ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME FIRE- <br />MAN", introduced by Mr. Flynn, was given Third Reading. <br />Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to pass Ord. 77-19. <br />Mr. Bennett asked if the figure in this Ordinance was the current <br />rate and would it be paid in full if someone was hired and served <br />less than the full year? <br />Mr. Relic said the Pay Ordinance reflected the amount to be paid <br />and a partial pay would be made, according to time served. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan <br />and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Ordinance 77-20, <br />APPROPRIATION OF <br />PARTMENT FOR THE <br />DECLARING AN EME: <br />Third Reading. <br />entitled; "AN ORDIDTANCE MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL p=: <br />$8,085 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE SAFETY DE- <br />EMPLOYMENT OF A RADIO-DISPATCHER, CLASS B, AND <br />2GENCY11, introduced by Mr. Barclay was given <br />Mayor Beebe said the need for an 8:00 P.M. Dispatcher is urgent <br />and urges Council to pass the Ordinance. <br />Mr. Grogan said the Village has an answering service and tondered <br />if there was a real need for this Dispatcher. <br />Mr. Busa questioned the Mayor's endorsement of the two previous <br />Ordinances, and wondered if he had intentions of veto. <br />Mayor Beebe said he certainly wouldn't urge passage and turn around <br />and veto. He said funds were available now and that is why he felt <br />it should be passed. <br />Mr. Barclay, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to pass Ord. 77- <br />20. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan <br />and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />
