r~ ~i <br />-$- <br />Mr. Barclay said he read the agreement and it was his opinion the <br />Village would be paying for the engineering costs that actually <br />could be the County°s responsibility. Also, the way he understood <br />it, the Village would not have the authority to even erect a stop <br />sign in the future. He said he felt widening the road would en- <br />courage heavy traffic and use by the larger trucks. He said the <br />Village may have the responsibility of maintaining the road after <br />the County completes its work. <br />Mr. Barclay, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to table the Ord. <br />until further study could be madeo <br />Mr. Hovancsek commented that the agreement is the normal agreement <br />given to other communities in the same situation. Gates Mills is <br />having to sign the same agreement. " <br />Mr. Grogan asked Mr. Hovancsek what the estimated costs would be? <br />Mr. Hovancsek replied Engineering costs would be around $24,000.00. <br />Mr. Barclay commented the $5.00 License monies perhaps could be used <br />for the enginerring expense. <br />Mr. Busa asked if a committee shouldn't be appointed to discuss the <br />agreement? <br />The Chair recommended the Public Service and Utilities Committee <br />meet on this; a report to be given at the first meeting of Council <br />in August. <br />Roll Call: AYESo Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan <br />and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Tabled <br />Ordinance 77-29, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 77-22 <br />TO CORRECT MATHEMATICAL ERROR RE FULL-TIME SKILLED EMPLOYEE-CLASS <br />A-SERVICE DEPARTMENT," was presented but no action could be taken <br />until Council had received copies. <br />Resolution 990, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY <br />FOR PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF STREET LIGHTING AND THE IMPROVE- <br />MENT OR INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL LIGHTING BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT <br />OF ALL PARCELS BENEFITTED, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 938, AND DE- <br />CLARING AN EMERGENCY';, was introduced by Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Bennett said that everyone would be sharing the expenses of the <br />lighting even those exempt properties. The amount would be based <br />on the valuation of the property. <br />Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Barclay, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan <br />and Schulte <br />
