-9- <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Barclay, made a motion to pass <br />Resolution 990. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan <br />and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Resolution 994, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RENEWAL OF <br />A 1.6 MILL LEVY FOR FIVE YEARS FOR PAYMENT OF SALARIES OF PERMANENT <br />POLICE PERSONNEL FOR THE TAX DUPLICATE YEAR5 1977 to 1981, BOTH IN- <br />CLUSIVE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was introduced by Mr. Bennett. <br />r <br />`~I O <br />Mr.. Busa, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of law requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan <br />and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Relic stated that $63,000.00 had been received from Police Levy <br />last year and this Resolution merely was a renewal action and would <br />not increase taxes. e <br />Mr. Schulte, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to adopt Res. 994. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Busa, Flynn, Grogan <br />and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />MOTION RE LAW DIRECTOR <br />Mr. Grogan stated that Council was notified that a new Law Director <br />was selected but no name had been submitted and would not be submitted <br />until the beginning of next year, which meant "that the present Law <br />Director would serve through the year 1977 unconfirmed by Council. <br />Mr. Grogan stated a motion would be made which he had in writing for <br />the minutes. <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion: Council hereby <br />directs and instructs the Law Director to bring an action in Mandamus <br />in the Court of Appeals, Eighth District of Ohio to order the Mayor <br />
