-3- <br />cation of the promotions and also his letter to the three men <br />of August 4, 1977. <br />P~cayor Beebe asked Patrolman Donald Stevens, Patrolman John Jay, <br />and Detective Donald Smith to come forcaard for the official <br />swearing in to be performed by P~~r. Byrnes. <br />I~~ayor Beebe presented each Sergeant with a "King Size" badge <br />made by Donald Stevens. <br />Mayor Beebe said he had received letter of resignation from <br />I~ir. Patrick O' i~ialley, member of the Civil Service Commission;:;a <br />due to health reasons. <br />He said it was his recommendation that T~1r. Santo Basile of ~~letro <br />Park Drive be appointed to fill the vacancy. <br />i~Ir. Grogan said the recommendation would be put on the t=lgenda <br />for the Meeting Thursday night at 7 : 30 P .Iv2. <br />Mayor Beebe said he had received a request from the neva pres- <br />ident of the Garden Club, Mrs. Emma Schmenk, for permission <br />to use the bulk rate mailing stamp. <br />I~Ir. Grogan said this also could be on the Agenda Thursday night. <br />Mayor Beebe commented he had received the Police Chief's thorough <br />report of last conference he had attended. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT' 5 COI~'iI'~SE'NTS <br />Ifir. Grogan said the Official notice of the meeting to conclude <br />the matter of Ifir. Flynn had gone out and asked all of Council to <br />be present. <br />i~ir. Grogan asked if the transcript of the last meeting was ready? <br />I~ir. Byrnes said it would be deliv eyed to the Village Hall for re- <br />view on August 16th. <br />Nir. Grogan said all Councilmen had received hlr. T^deisman's brief. <br />I•ir. Busa suggested another notice be sent out to start at 7:30 in <br />order to tape care of the additional items mentioned. <br />COb1T~lITTEE REPORTS <br />Budget/~~.ppropriations - I~ir. Grogan said Ordinance 77-29, that had <br />been introduced by i~Ir. Bennett, would be considered under Old <br />Business. <br />Public Safety - I~ir. Grogan asked i~1r. Flynn and I~Zr. Booth to go for- <br />ward to fill the vacancies of Police Dispatcher, Full-time Fireman <br />and a Lieutenant in the Fire Department. <br />8~_ <br />Public Service & Public Utilities - i'$r.
