Council Pres-
ident, Robert Grogan presided.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.
Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa,
Flynn, Grogan and Schulte
Absent: none
Also present were: Mayor Beebe, 'Messrs., Amendola, Byrnes and Relic
i~Ir. Grogan read the agenda and said it was gratifying to see so many
people attending tonight.
I~Ir. Grogan introduced lair. Lewis Orlcin and his associate P~Ir. Joe Abbate.
Resolution 995, entitled; RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE' LAI.r DIRECTOR TO
PRLPARi A NOTICE
INGS NO;,j PENDII7G OF APPEAL, IlI
IN TI3.c~ COURT OTION TO STAY JUDGI~ILI4TT AND ?iPPEAL PROCLF.D-
OF COMMON PLrAS OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY, CON-
SOLIDATI;D CASE NUP~iB~.'RS 915x65 , 916020, 916661, and 926138 AND D~~~CLARING
AN~I~ILRGLNCY ", introduced by Mr. Barclay.
Pair. Grogan said he had noted at the last Special Meeting that on July 26,
Judgement entries were entered and Council must act to appeal or not
appeal.
R•Ir. Barclay said in view of the many people in the audience they should
be given an opportunity to speak.
OPEN PORTION:
Mr. Ben Reich, 6885 5°dilson I•Iills Load, stated that in his opinion the
Council and the Mayor were spending too much time trying to settle their
differences of opinion. Iie said he didn't know if they were trying to
hurt each other or what but these things needed to be resolved and get
back to business. He said lie vas sorry he had to do this but felt these
things needed to be brought out.
T~Ir. Mathew Hatchadorian, 1018 i~;oodlane Drive, said he was here once
more representing the people to urge Council to appeal the decision
that the Judge, Sam ~ingale had made.
Dirs. Ruth Gilles, 61&0 yM17ilson Iriills, said she would like to address
Council. Before arriving at a decision to appeal we should consider
the history of the Village. Light years ago apartment plans were sub-
mitted and denied; Iulr. Laconte put a golf course in and T might say a
very fine one; Don Ray Products added to the Village. I am not saying ~•ae
need more industry but Eve don't need this ruling changed to residential.
