Gro- <br />gan as follows: <br />To the Mayor and Council of the Village of 2•Tayfield <br />Village, Ohio: <br />Gentlemen: <br />Demand is hereby made uioon you to forthwith certify <br />to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, for <br />submission to the vote of the electors at the general <br />election to be held on November 8, 1977, the proposed <br />Ordinance set forth in the Initiative Petition hereto- <br />fore filed by us with the Clerk of Council on July 19, <br />1977 and certified by her to Council on august 2, 1977. <br />I~•Zr. Berns said the next step to be taken by Council is to submit the <br />Petition Ordinance (certified by Cler}; of Council) to the Board of <br />Elections so it can go to the electors at the next general election. <br />IJir. Barclay said this was not a regular meeting. <br />There was a discussion of the Charter as to the .e~sa ct procedure, time <br />limit etc. of submitting an initiative petition. <br />i~ir. Berns and Council should follow the step outlined. <br />1~Ir. Grogan, seconded by i~ir. Barclay <br />motion Carried <br />Clerk to Certify <br />2'-Ir. ;Zelic asked who vaould be responsible for the language used in the <br />Petition. <br />2~Ir. Berns would have it ready for i~ir. Byrnes approval. <br />I~r. Busa said the wording should be controlled so it wouldn't go to <br />the people with a vote of yes meaning no and no meaning yes. <br />1r1r. Grogan said he'd like Council to check the wording before it <br />goes on the ballot. <br />i~r. Schulte suggested the Village mailing be done to let the Villagers <br />
