~.5 Q <br />-2_ <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Schulte, made a motion to accept the <br />minutes of the October 25, 1977 Special Meeting as corrected. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, <br />Flynn, Grogan and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />In answer to Mr. Grogan's question regarding acceptance of <br />Council acting as Board of Appeals minutes, Mr. Avery stated <br />that the minutes can be acted on at a Regular Council Meeting. <br />Therefore, minutes of the Board of Appeals meetings will be <br />approved at the December meeting. <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS: <br />Mayor Beebe wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and also con- <br />gratulated the newly elected Council people.' He also wished to <br />thank the residents for voting on the issue to keep Mayfield Village <br />residential. <br />Mayor Beebe welcomed Mr. Guerin Avery as the new Law Director. <br />The Mayor introduced the following six new appointed Volunteer <br />Firefighters. <br />Douglas Balzano Daryl Scott <br />Robert Posatiere Jim Plastine <br />Gary Primozich David Mohr <br />They were sworn in by Mr. Avery. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT' S CONL`~tENTS <br />Mr. Grogan congratulated the newly elected Council people. He <br />suggested that they be sworn in as early as possible. <br />Mr. Grogan commented on vandalism on Halloween night. He re- <br />quested a report as to how many juveniles were warned, ticketed <br />or returned to the custody of their parents for vandalism on <br />Halloween. <br />Mayor Beebe had been in touch with the Police Department on Hallo- <br />ween and as a whole the Village was rather quiet. He will check <br />and advise Council. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Budget & Appropriations - The committee recommends payment of <br />Mr. I-Iaffey's legal fee. An ordinance is not required. <br />Public Safet -The Mutual Aid Agreement with ~~Tilloughby Hills <br />wi be considered at the next meeting. A taping system for re- <br />ceiving of fire alarm calls was suggested. In the past couple <br />of weeks, two fire false alarms were called in. <br />
