"( f , <br />l cl <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />December 19, 1977 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met in regular session <br />on Monday, December 19, 1977 at 8:05 P.M. in the Village Hall. Council <br />President, Robert Grogan presided.- <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn <br />Grogan and Schulte <br />Absent: None <br />Also present were: Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Feneli, Hovancsek, Relic, <br />Chief Hejcl and Chief Shortle <br />- Mr. Grogan opened the meeting by asking for comments from the floor: <br />Joe Coy, 734 Butternut - advised the Mayfield Methodist Church has filed <br />a law suit against Heinen's stating that the easement is no longer viable. <br />If building footings are not in by October, 1.978, Heinen's will have to <br />sell property back to Aintree Investors. Mr. Coy said that in a conver- <br />sation with Mr. Heinen, Heinen's will not build if he has to fight the <br />church and that he is not especially interested in using the easement. <br />Mr. Coy was asking for help and leadership from Council. <br />Mr. Flynn asked Mr. Coy what is the Church's proposal: <br />Mr. Coy replied the pleasure of the church is to use Aintree Park Dr. and <br />eliminate use of easement and they would be happy to give Heinen's addi- <br />tional required parking spaces. <br />Mr. Grogan stated that a variance had been granted for parking spaces and <br />minutes of this meeting have been approved verifying documentation of <br />variance. <br />Mr. Bennett wished to go on record that Council is not responsible for <br />any further recommendations. <br />Mr. Barclay suggested Heinen's come back to P & Z and request another <br />variance without forcing the use of the easement on the Church. <br />The Mayor will follow up with Mr. Coy. <br />Dr. DePaul, 479 Hickory Hill - stated he has had 5 burglary attempts <br />on his home and a bomb thrown in his mailbox. He wanted to know how <br />many juvenille filings there were in the past year and what steps have <br />been taken. <br />The Mayor said we are tryi~g.to stay on top of the situation. <br />Chief Shortle expressed concern that parents cooperate more and that <br />this problem exists in .all communities. He said people do not want to <br />get involved. <br />
