"( f , l cl MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING Village of Mayfield Village December 19, 1977 The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met in regular session on Monday, December 19, 1977 at 8:05 P.M. in the Village Hall. Council President, Robert Grogan presided.- The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn Grogan and Schulte Absent: None Also present were: Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Feneli, Hovancsek, Relic, Chief Hejcl and Chief Shortle - Mr. Grogan opened the meeting by asking for comments from the floor: Joe Coy, 734 Butternut - advised the Mayfield Methodist Church has filed a law suit against Heinen's stating that the easement is no longer viable. If building footings are not in by October, 1.978, Heinen's will have to sell property back to Aintree Investors. Mr. Coy said that in a conver- sation with Mr. Heinen, Heinen's will not build if he has to fight the church and that he is not especially interested in using the easement. Mr. Coy was asking for help and leadership from Council. Mr. Flynn asked Mr. Coy what is the Church's proposal: Mr. Coy replied the pleasure of the church is to use Aintree Park Dr. and eliminate use of easement and they would be happy to give Heinen's addi- tional required parking spaces. Mr. Grogan stated that a variance had been granted for parking spaces and minutes of this meeting have been approved verifying documentation of variance. Mr. Bennett wished to go on record that Council is not responsible for any further recommendations. Mr. Barclay suggested Heinen's come back to P & Z and request another variance without forcing the use of the easement on the Church. The Mayor will follow up with Mr. Coy. Dr. DePaul, 479 Hickory Hill - stated he has had 5 burglary attempts on his home and a bomb thrown in his mailbox. He wanted to know how many juvenille filings there were in the past year and what steps have been taken. The Mayor said we are tryi~g.to stay on top of the situation. Chief Shortle expressed concern that parents cooperate more and that this problem exists in .all communities. He said people do not want to get involved.
