~.~~ <br />was to Steve Hovancsek to prepare an estimated cost for permanent and <br />temporary paving. <br />Mr. Busa asked Mr. Amendola to work with Steve on this as soon as <br />possible. <br />Ridaebury/Lander Intersection Construction: Mayor Beebe said he had <br />talked with Mayor Mayes of Highland Heights who is equally concerned <br />with the costs of this project. He said he had received an estimate <br />from Steve Hovancsek and the cost to the Village would be in the neigh- <br />borhood of $1000.00 and he felt it a reasonable amount. <br />Council discussed the matter but no decision could be made before more <br />input from the County is receiyed. <br />NOACA: <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to discontinue Mayfield <br />Village's membership in NOACA AND Reject the 1976, 1977, and 1978 dues. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Mr. Relic to write a letter of notification to NOACA. <br />Beta Drive Sidewalks & Lights: Mayor Beebe commented that this subject <br />has been discussed on and off along with the continuing battle .with R. <br />T.A. for Bus service. He wondered what maintenance would be~involved. <br />A discussion followed with Council expressing their concern for the <br />safety of all who use Beta Drive. <br />Mr. Carl Santioemmo, andindustrialist on Beta Drive, stated he had ob- <br />served the employees as well as the schooldchildren and fears for their <br />safety. They ,are also in desperate need of a bus shelter. <br />Mr. Busa stated that it is a problem and %eferred it to the Public Service <br />& Public Utilities Committee for serious review; asking Mr. Flynn to refer <br />to a letter Mayor Beebe had received from R.T.A. rejecting Bus service in <br />the area. <br />Mayor Beebe commented their reason given was a delay in their schedule - <br />couldn't possibly be more than 1% minutes down SOM to Beta entrance. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Ordinance 78-11, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE <br />CURRENT AND OTHER EXPENSES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO FOR THE YEAR 1978, <br />AND DECLARING ANDEMERGENCY", was introd~.ced by Mr. Grogan. <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Boger, ma~'e a motion Ito suspend the rules <br />of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None ~ Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />
