A~Ci~ <br />1 <br />1 <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Boger, made a motion to pass Ordinance 78-11. <br />Mr. Relic stated the costs have esculated since last year and quoted the <br />percentage of increase in each department. He estimated that at the <br />years end, $1,100.00 will have been spent. <br />Mr. Grogan asked if there would be a balance left at the end of the year? <br />Mr. Relic replied yes for contingencies that may arise. <br />Mr. Grogan commented there was no monies for additional help except for <br />summer time help-but the Service/Building Departments would be getting <br />some new equipment. <br />Mr. Relic stated he had received input from all departments and even <br />though ~s~ome itmes were not allowed he felt the budget was fair to all. <br />Mayor Beebe commented he had no intentions of vetoing the budget but he <br />wanted to c~~iscuss parts of the budget before he signed it. For f=.example <br />There is still no 24 hr. dispatching and considering the present expenses <br />of the telephone answering service etc., the additional costs would not <br />be that much greater. <br />Mr. Relic stated that even though the Budget is passed, supplemental appro- <br />priations can be made during the year.. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Relic thanked Council for passing the Budget and asked them to con- <br />sider the $400.00 for the Fourth of July Celebration. <br />There was a discussion with Mr. Avery being asked-his opinion. <br />Mr. Avery commented it was a proper municipal recreation expenditure. <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mrs. Hanus, made a motion to approve the <br />expenditure of not more than $400.00 for fireworks for the Fourth of <br />July Celebration. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Mrs. Hanus, Mr. Bordonaro, Mr. Boger and Mr. Flynn <br />NAYS: Mr. Grogan <br />1 <br />PASS: Mr. Busa <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved <br />Mr. Relic asked to be excused at this time. <br />Mr. Busa asked for a 10 minute recess at 9:00 P.M. <br />Meeting reconvened at 9:10 P.M. <br />Mr. Busa announced that Mr. Henwood, present in the audience, offered a <br />contribution of fire works for the Fourth of July and suggested the Fire <br />Chief inspect them for safety and then pass them on to the Mayor. <br />
