G~~. <br />Mr. Bennett said the owner refused to put chemicals in for fear <br />it -would kill the "Dr-agon Flies." <br />Mr. Relic questioned if it couldn't be declared a Public Nuisance? <br />Mr. Avery stated it would have to be proven a health hazard. <br />Mr. Amendola commented the Health Department had already been <br />contacted and free pellets were given to the owner but as Mr. <br />Bennett said, they refused to use them on grounds it will kill <br />the wildlife. <br />Mr. Bennett-- stated he had several questions: (1) Is the Myotte <br />case withdrawn from the Supreme Court? Mr. Avery replied yes. <br />(2) Why is the construction at the corner of SOM/Wilson Mills <br />allowed to begin on Friday leaving the mess for the weekend? <br />Traffic was unbearable and the Village had to pay for a police- <br />man to stand out there and direct traffic. <br />Council discussed the matter with~Mr. Hovancsek to contact the <br />Utilities Construction Company and have them coordinante their <br />work with the Police Department. <br />Chief Shortle suggested drafting an Ordinance~to cover all con- <br />struction of this type. <br />Mr. Avery pointed out if an ordinance is drafted.then in an emer- <br />gency there would be no power to waive - therefore, a clause <br />should be inserted in future agreements. <br />Chief Shortle stated he would like. to see the work confined to <br />summer months only because of the school children being incon- <br />venienced and indangered. <br />Mr. Flynn requested a shooting be done of the culvert at Kenwood/Wilson <br />Mills Road (west to east). <br />Mr. Grogan stated he would like the Administration to enforce the <br />$rdinance on the parking of trucks. <br />Meeting adjourned to an Executive Session at 10:30 P.M. <br />Meeting reconvened at 11:10 P.M. for an adjournment .roll Call. <br />MAYOR <br />President <br />Clerk of Council ~~ <br />
