They have four <br />police cars available that meet the majority of our specs, at a total <br />price of $2,170.00 less than the Marshall Ford bid. <br />Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to reject Marshall <br />Ford's bid because it did not meet our specifications. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Bid rejected <br />The question of service was asked. Mr. Bennett said that it could <br />be handled at Deacon's. <br />Mayor Beebe agreed with Mr. Bennett's motion and suggested that Chief <br />Shortle review Mr. Bennett's prices and specifications. <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to authorize <br />the Mayor, Law Director, Police Chief and Finance Director to enter <br />into negotiations for the best deal possible for Police Cars. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Authorization Given <br />Ordinance 78-30 - (Mr. Avery, L.D. was instructed to prepare an <br />ordinance to purchase the cars in non-competitive bidding, to be <br />passed at the next Caucus Meeting.) <br />Ordinance 78-31, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT IN <br />THE MUNICII?AL CHARTER AND PROVIDING FOR SUBMISSION OF THE QUESTION <br />TO THE ELECTORATE'!, was introduced by Mr. Flynn. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to pass Ordinance 78-31. <br />Discussion was held. <br />-t< <br />
