X20 <br />Mr. Grogan, seconded by Mr. Bordonaro, made a motion to suspend <br />the rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separ- <br />ate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Grogan, made a motion to pass Ordi- <br />nance 78-28. <br />Discussion followed. <br />Roll Call: AYES: A11 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Village Hall Parking Lot - Mr. Hovancsek is scheduled to meet at the <br />Village on Wednesday, June 21, at 8:30 g.M. with the contractor, <br />Police, Fire and Service Departments. An exact time schedule will <br />be established. Mr. Hovancsek reviewed their bond 10 days ago. <br />Expects completion by the end of July. <br />Wilson Mills - East of S.O?o,M. - Mr. Hovancsek had nothing to report. <br />New Fire Truck - Chief Hejcl reported the truck had been delivered <br />on June 12, 1978 and had been put into service on Thursday, June 15':~ <br />NEW BUSINESS• <br />Ordinance 78-29, entitled: AN ORDIIQANCE PRESCRIBING SALARIES, RATES <br />OF COMPENSATION, VACATION SCHEDULE, PAID HOLIDAYS AND OTHER BENEFITS <br />FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE MUNICIPALITY REPEALING ORDINANCES 72-3, 77-12, <br />77-22, 77-29 and 77-35 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY", was introduced <br />by Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Bennett explained the repealing of five ordinances and incor- <br />porating them into one, the across the board raise of 8/ and in some <br />intance, 10/, increase for Police uniforms, increase in longevity pay <br />and the addition of an optional holiday. Mr. Relic stated that the <br />entire package would cost the Village about $35,000.00 and thanked <br />the Committee, especially Mr. Bennett. <br />Mayor Beebe complimented Mr. Bennett and the entire group. He <br />thought there was a couple of low, minor areas he wanted to look into <br />but for all intents and purposes, we are comparable to the surrounding <br />communities.
