247 <br />It was his desire that the Village be notified beforehand so <br />arrangements could be made to escort them through the Village <br />without endangering the residents lives.' <br />Mr. Busa, speaking for Council as a Whole, congratulated Karl <br />Strasser on his conscientious efforts to be a better qualified <br />Fire Fighter and Auxiliary Policeman. Mr. Strasser took college <br />courses on his own time and at his own expense. He asked Chief <br />Hejcl to relate the message of appreciation to Mr. Strasser. <br />Mr. Busa questioned the Echo Drive Ditch situation. Mr. Hovancsek <br />said there is erosion on the north side of Echo Drive. Mr. DeMarco <br />is concerned and would like the Village to review the erosion in <br />the ditch. The increased water pressure from the improved ditch on <br />Echo Drive is causing the erosion." Mr. Fene.li stated this is pri- <br />vate property and he would get with Mr. Avery and prepare a memor- <br />andum regarding the matter of liability. <br />• Mr. Busa read a letter written for him byMr. Amendola regarding <br />Council's recommendation to the Planning and Zoning Commission for <br />more building of businesses that is the most tax beneficial (more <br />employees, less warehouses) on Beta Drive. Mr. Boger questioned <br />the authority of Council to control the building of warehouses. <br />Mr. Busa replied that to a degree it could be controlled with the <br />context of the present zoning. Mr. Busa to sign th.e letter and <br />copies to be circulated to-Council. <br />GGENERAL COMMENTS: <br />Finance Director - Mr. Relic stated that the Village had borrowed <br />$75,000. to purchase the Myotte property, for one year. He was <br />planning to pay the loan off before the end of the year. <br />Law Director - Mr. Feneli commented that Mr. Longley has filed for <br />a hearing for this Tuesday morning. This is prior steps to be taken <br />before going to the Court of Appeals. October 13th Don Ray Products <br />is to come before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. <br />Service Director - Mr. Foltz stated that presently there is in- <br />sufficient housing for one of the Service trucks. <br />Mr. Grogan - stated that he would like it to be noted on the records <br />that this is the third or fourth time without our regular appointed <br />Law Director, Guerin Avery. He had agreed to be in attendance at our <br />meetings. <br />Mr. Bordonaro complimented the residents for staying throughout the <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Busa said he was sorry for the reason the residents were present <br />but also glad they stayed to see how the Village business is conducted. <br />An Executive Session was called at 10:35 P.M. <br />
