2 ~;
Population growth - details have been supplied to Council fand after
this ord. is attested an approved by the Law Director, I will have to
give a lot of thought before I sign it. Two. men are not sufficient.
Mr. Busa said the Budget does not warrant three men at this time and
hopefully next year more can be added.
Mr. Grogan said the Auxiliary Police are a visible part of this community
and they should be used and receive pay for thier services. Vandalism
was not a factor last year when his home was broken into and aan't see
why all of .a sudden there is a great need. If the Administration gives
Council a chance, a workable solution can be arrived at.
Mayor Beebe stated the Auxiliary Police aren't helpful as thier use of
equipment is very limited.
Mr: Bennett commented. that it sounded as though the Mayor might veto the
Ordinance: If you tell us your intentions now, we can save a lot of time
now by not passing the Ordinance. We are not the ones selling the Village
short. This sounds like a political move because the-Mayor will be running
for reelection next year.
Mayor Beebe commented that it appears that Mr. Bennett knew more about
the Mayor's future plans than did the Mayor himself.
Mr. Busa suggested a.~ote be taken before the Ordinance ends up being
tabled.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Ordinance Passed
Resolution 78-48, entitled: "ARESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR T.0 SIGN
AN EASEMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A ~nTATER LINE TO SERVICE T.HE RESIDENTS
I:,OCATED AT 817 BEECH HILL ROAD." Introduced by Mr. Boger
Mr. Busa i.ead the resolution.
Mr. Amendola commented that Mr. Vienna has built a $140,000.00 house and
is waiting for the water line to be put in.'
Mr. Boger. questioned who would be responsible for maintenance?
It was stated that the owner would be responsible.
Mr. Boger, seconded by Mrs. Hanus, made the motion to pass the resolution
with the condition that the resident pay for the maintenance.
Mr. Bennett questioned location of the line and Mr:. Amendola said it
would be near the gas lines on the east side of Beech Hill across from
the Pumping Station and requested a signed copy for the resident.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Resolution Passed
