~~4 <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS:. <br />Budget/Appropriations - Mr. Bennett stated that the last Caucus dis- <br />cussion was held on the transfer of funds from the General Fund and <br />asked Council to consider passage. <br />Ordinance 78-60, entitled: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER FUNDS FRoM <br />THE GENERAL FUND TO CERTAIN OTHER FUNDS, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY" was <br />introduced by Mr. Bennett.- <br />Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mr. Grogan, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended. <br />Mr. Relic commented that the Recreation is being appropriated $4,000.00 <br />which has been the same for the past few years, $24,000.00 to the Police <br />Pension Fund which makes up the deficit, and $110,000.00 to the Building, <br />Equipment, and Maintenance Fund for whatever purpose that is ,in the best <br />interest of .the Village. $10,000.00 is to cover the amount taken to pay <br />off a loan last October. He thanked Council for their consideration. <br />Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mrs. Hanus, made a motion to pass Ord. 78-60. <br />Roll Call: AYES: A~11 <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Bennett requested a meeting of the Budget Committee before the 15th. <br />Mr. Relic stated a temporary budget had been submitted to Council for <br />their consideration at the January meeting. <br />Public Safety - Mr. Flynn questioned the. "N_o turn on Red. Sign" at the <br />intersection of Wilson Mills and SOM Center. A/C Litman replied that the <br />sign had been replaced. <br />Mr. Flynn urged the Mayor to appoint the new Sergeants and Patrolmen. <br />Mayor Beebe commented that the Sergeant appointment should be made <br />Wednesday with the Patrolmen and Fire Lieutenants following. <br />Public Service/Public Utilities - Mr. Flynn stated the signs are installed <br />on Derby Drive, Raleigh, Northboro and Chase. Also the Service Depart- <br />ment are patching the holes on Beechers Brook. <br />Architectural Review Board - No Report <br />Cemetery - No Report <br />f <br />Council of Councils - Mrs. Hanus reported on a meeting held November 29th <br />at which Mr. Flynn, Mr. Grogan, Mr. Bordonaro and she had attended.
