_9_ <br />Committee Reports: <br />Planninq & Zoninq Commission?:.- Mr. Bordonaro read the minutes of the <br />Commission's September 11 meeting. Rockwell preliminary plans for struc- <br />ture and property only were approved. Howard C. Schul.zPs request to build <br />a metal-type barn was referred to the Board of Zoning Appeals for a Var- <br />iance. New revised plans for Van Curen's shopping facilities were presen- <br />ted. Because the Commission hadn't enough time to review, it was decided <br />to hold a special meeting on subject 5eptember 15. Mr. Pat Leconte's `. <br />request for an additional nine holes to the Parkview Go1f Course was pre- <br />sented. After legal description has been advertised, the Commission will <br />hold a public hearing on October 9 to grant permit to use the land. <br />Initial plans for Theater =n The Round submitted for workshop. Prelimin-. <br />ary approval on structure only for Progressive given. The Board of Zoning <br />Appeals convened following. The Board granted a Variance for Howard C. <br />Schulz and a Variance for the buiZding of an indoor swimming pool by <br />George Opalich. This Variance was granted contingent on a Resolution <br />stating permission to be received in writing from abutting neighbor. <br />The special meeting of the Commission was held on September 15 to discuss <br />VanCuren's proposal during which said plans were rejected by the Commission. <br />Safety & Service: Mr.-Braun read the minutes of the September.5 meeting. <br />Street lighting was discussed. Building & Grounds and Streets & Roads <br />had nothing to r eport. A purchase order for a kitchenette for the City <br />Hall was processed to the Finance Committee. Drainage in Village Hall <br />, parking 1ot no problem. Basic maintenance such as carpet cleaning to. <br />be checked into. Truck Ordinance 766 approved. Civil Defense truck <br />purchase recommended. Price quotations on litter boxes requested. The <br />Police Department approved "f3.sh program". Request for additional Police <br />along with "roofing Ordinance" still bei.ng studied. Ordinance on soliCi- <br />tors recommended to Council. Was agreed residents should be askeci' not <br />to allow trick or treating on HaZloween,. but possibly something held <br />at the Hall. Recommendation made for purc.hase of a service truck. <br />Finance: Mr. Davis stated the Committee approved purchase of a kitchen- _ <br />ette and new service truck for bids. Community Club donated $100.00 <br />towards kitchenetteo <br />Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Boger, introduced "PAY ORDINANCE 589P" for <br />payment of bills. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Soccer team joined the Joint Greater Cleveland Suburban Soccer <br />League and currentZy in first place. Board of Education wi11 be con- <br />tacted to reserve evenings for bas]cetball teams.
