MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />October 16, 1972 <br />The Council o£ the Vil7.age of Mayfield met in regular session at <br />Mayfield Village Hall on Monday, October 16 at 8:08 p.m. Mayor Beebe <br />presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was giveno <br />Roll Call: Present: Mayor Beebe, Messrs. Boger, Bordonaro, <br />Braun, and Davis <br />Absent: Messrse Leech and 5chmidt <br />Also present were Messrs. Edelman and Hovancseke <br />Comments from the floor: Mr. Florian Rickey, 6128 Wilson Mills, asked <br />why people could not comment after the meeting as opposed to before <br />because they really don't know what Council is going to discuss. The <br />Mayor replied it was standard procedure and also that agendas were <br />provided with the topics to be discussed for review and comment when <br />meeting begins. <br />The Mayor wel.comed Mrs. Tom Berlin. (SOM Center Road) and Mrs. Margaret <br />Ford (Aintree Hark) as new residents to t he Village. <br />Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Boger, motioned to have the minutes of the <br />September 18 meeting approved as written. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Boger, Bordonaro, Braun, & Davis <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />New Businesss <br />Additional street lighting survey in the "Voice of the Village'P response <br />was sma11; however, of the 16 replies 90 / were opposed to residentiaI <br />lighting. The Mayor reviewed briefly three stagess 1) main arteries <br />stzch as SOM, Wilson Mi11.s as recommended by the Police Department; 2) <br />certain residentla1 intersections where Council has approved9 3) entire <br />Aintree P ark area where people have underground wiring for additional <br />lights. Lighting assessments would apply in residential areas except <br />where the Police Department has designated a safety need at intersect- <br />ionse The Mayor concluded asking if there were any questions to which <br />there were none. <br />Halloween: Because not sufficient time to plan a party, the Village <br />wi11 fol.low a recommendation by the Hillcrest coramunities in allowing <br />trick or treat on October 31 between the hours of 6:30 pom. and 8:30 <br />pem. Additional police will be patrolling that night.
