No bids received on the <br />( snow removal; however, Mr. Jim Murphy, who did the plowing last year, <br />I approached the Village and quoted the same rate of $11.00 per hour. <br />Total cost for services last year was $484.50. Nr. Boger, stated our <br />Ordinance 814 requires people sha11 be responsi.bl.e for cleaning their <br />sidewalks after 9:00 a.m. and most do so after that hour; therefore, <br />it was agreed not to enforce the Ordinance but have Mr. Murphy con- <br />tracted for the snow removal including sidewalks on GJilsons Mil1s and <br />SOM Center for the safety of the school chil.dren. A bi.d notice not <br />required as long as the total cost for the year does not exceed $1500. <br />Mr. Boger, seconded by Mr. Davis, motioned to authorize contracting <br />Mr. Jim Murphy for the Villagets snow removal services, as directed <br />by the Service Department. <br />Ro11 Call: AYES: Messrs. Boger, Bordonaro, Braun, & Davis <br />NAYSa None <br />Motion Carried <br />Police levy renewal of 1.6 milZs: Previous levy was 1.9 but was <br />reduced by the County Auditors. The amount per year a.s $26,000 for <br />paying the police salaries. Mr. Davis commented that origi.nally the <br />levy was higher for four policemen and now it has decreased but covers <br />seven poliCemen and urged the people to vote for its renewal on election <br />day. <br />The Mayor requested Council's approval on the appointment of Bob <br />Fowler and Haxry Krause as part time firemen. <br />Mr. Boger, seconded by Mr. Braun, motioned to confirm the appointments. <br />Roll Ca11: AYES: Messrs.
