Committee Reports: <br />- 1. Planning & Zoninq: Councilman Bordonaro reported Ken's Auto Body <br />was given permission for a building permit pursuant to 5ection 5 <br />of Ordinance 73-25 contingent upon written approval of such <br />system by the Fire Department. <br />Mr. Steve Zelko, builder for Ken's, asked if Council's approval was <br />necessary. He was advised to meet with Chief Hejcl as the permit <br />issuance was contingent upon his approval and not Council's. <br />Mr. Kreckel, Chairman of Planning & Zoning, commented the need for <br />codification of our Ordinances. There was some discussion concern- <br />ing.cost and Council agreed it should be checked into again. <br />Safety & Service: Councilman Schulte reported the Committee dis- <br />cusSed the "mini-mall", Van Curen, and C.E.I. property not being <br />cle3ned; Aintree parking; possibility of an Ordinance regulating <br />elevators in new buidlings; the question raised whether the street <br />bond was released for Allstate and veterina.ry clinic because the <br />curb site had not been repaired; discussion on paving the town ha11 <br />parking lot. <br />Mr. Amendola, Building Commissioner, to check to see if bond had <br />been released; however, a letter had been written to Fred Lassorella <br />for monies due but not yet received. <br />Engineer Hovancsek was asked to obtain a quote for paving the hall <br />parking lot. <br />Finance: Councilman Boger requested a meeting with all department <br />heads to discuss open vouchers as some of them appear to be too high. <br />Mr. Boger introduced Pay Ordinance 601. <br />Roll Call: AYES; Messrs, Boger, Bordonaro, Davis, <br />Leech, Prager, & Schulte <br />NAY5: None <br />Motion Carried : <br />~ Ordinance Passed <br />Recreation: Councilman Davis reported he would be contacting <br />various.Village people concerning a Halloween party. - <br />Architectural Board: Councilman Leech reported the Board was <br />medting this evening and he therefore had no minutes. <br />Charter Commission: Secretary Grogan reported the Commission was <br />cneeting every Tuesday in hopes of making faster progress to have <br />the Charter ready by next May. A meeting every other week was not <br />`,.sufficient time for the work to be done. <br />yThe Mayor asked if the Commission was approaching the time for an <br />interim report to which Chai.rman Busa commented he would so comply <br />x
