_1Z_ <br />Engineer Hovancsek reported the-E.P.A. is seeking to expand its <br />- authorzty for sewer control on tap-ins, sewer bans, etc., and to place <br />a11 control thereof in Columbus,. The Mayor commented that t-hese <br />regulations warrants some action as it would be taking control out <br />of the hands of the Village. We should go on record as objecting the <br />proposals. <br />Mr. Hovancsek reported we did file necessary documents to permit <br />Village residents to purchase federally subsidized flood insurance. <br />A copy of map has been stabmitted and we have txntil May 10 to comply <br />with other dat a.requested. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated traffic plans had been received from Progressive <br />which would be coordinated with the synchronization study on Wilson <br />Mi11s. <br />The Mayor advised the Village taxes have been reduced by $.10 per <br />$1,000 in valuat3on even though overall taxes on Village residents <br />have gone up because of approval of a 3.5 mi11 levy for the school <br />and a 1.0 mi11 County levy for the mer_tally retarded. <br />The Mayor also advised our Police Chief had been appointed as the <br />Chairman of SPAN and serves on the Boa.rd of Governors for the Courtty <br />Police Association. Detective Sma.th is co-coordinator on SPAN. <br />There being no further business, Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. <br />Prager, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. <br />. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs.
