<br />-L_ <br />Mr. Culotta, a Beech Hill resident, asked Engineer Hovancsek if he had <br />noticed the condition of the roads and mud to which Mr. Hovancsek stated <br />Beech Hill and Bonnieview were in the usual spring condition. <br />Recreation Vehicle Ordinance: Mr. Prager, introduced Ordinance 74-18; entitled, <br />" AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PARKING AND/OR STORING OF RECRFATIONAL VEHICLES <br />IIPON PRIVATE 0R PUBLIC PROPERTY WIfiHIN THE VILLAGF OF MAYFIELD." Mr. Barclay <br />stated the Legi.slation Committee reviewed and has submitted its recommendations <br />to Council.' He gave a brief summar,y of the highl.ights of said Ordinance: I.E., <br />an R.V may be parked for 72 hours within a 12n hour period and then must be <br />removed for at least 48 hours, there is also a provision for screening. Council <br />decided to study Ordinance further b,y placing it on first reading. <br />Police Radio Equi ment: The Mayor stated with the assistance of federal funds <br />which would pay _2;1 our entire radio s,ystems could be replaced at a cost of <br />approximately $3,600 for the Village'S share. The existing equipment is <br />approxiarately 9 years old with a life expectancy of 10 years; therefore, the <br />Mayor recommended we take steps necessary to secure federal funds for same. Mr. <br />Prager reported Mr. Schulte had professional electronic engineers review the <br />specifications as did Police Chief Shortle, and they recommended we proceed. <br />Chief Shortle injected there would be three separate alternate bids for the <br />tower, decoder and scanner. Mr. Bennett asked if a trade -in value could be <br />beneficial to which all agreed it would be minimal and of more value by convert- <br />ing the equipment for usage by the Fire and Service D4-partments. <br />Mr. Barclay, seconded by Mr. Prager, made a motion to advertise for bids for <br />police radio equipment as per specifications. <br />Roll Call: AYES : Al1 <br />NAYS : None Motion Carried <br />The specifications will be in the Police Department and the closing date for <br />receipt of bida to be 11:00 a.m. on April 12. Mayor Leech a"slced Chief Shortle <br />to find out what the cost would be to convert the equipment for use by the Fire <br />and Service Departments. <br />Ordinance 73-43; entitled, " AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONE MAP". Council <br />agreed to meet with the Planning & Zoning Commission to discuss same. <br />Ordinance 74-17; entitled, " AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 159, THE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, BY AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 763, SECTION 30.1(4) <br />AND SECTION 30•33(1( (d)". Prohibits retail sales in Production/Distribution <br />District. A Public Hearing set for March 26 at 7:30 p.m. on this ordinance. <br />Echo Drive Water Status: The rlayor stated since the last meeting a petition had <br />been received from the Echo Drive residents requesting a water line. Mr. Byrnes <br />said he would reaiew same with Engineer Hovancsek and prepare a ResoZution for <br />next Council meeting. The Mayor said.a letter had been submitted with cost <br />estimates and alternatives from the Engineer. Mr. Barclay snid the primary <br />reason for getting water on the street was because of three fires there during <br />last year. The residents have requested they be assessed by the Village. Mr. <br />Bennett asked if Echo Drive was a dedicated street to which Mr. Barcaly responded <br />no..Nlr. Bennett also questioned if Echo ?Drive was wide tinough to put in a water
