He requested Council's <br />approval for this act3.on. <br />Council as a Whole introduced Ordinance 74-37; ent3tled, "AN <br />ORDINANCE RUTHORIZING AND-DIRECTTNG THE MAYOR .AND CLERK-TREASURER TO <br />TAKE COMPETSTIVE BID5 WITHOUT ADVERTISING AND TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO FOUR-DOOR SEDANS POR THE POLIC'JE DEPARTMENT, <br />VILLAGE OF MAYF=ELD, OHIO, TO APPROPRIATE THE FUNDS THEREFOR; TO <br />DEQ,ARE AN EMERGENCY; AND REPEALZNG ORDINANCE NO. 74-21". <br />Mrs. Negrelli, seconded bv Mr. Schulte, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of law requirir_g an ordinance be read on three separate occasions. <br />Ro11 Call.: AYES: Messrs. Prager; & 5chulte <br />. <br />NAYS: None ?'. <br />Mot3.on Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />The Clerk-Treasurer reported the results for bids on the rubbish <br />contract; one bid was receiv,ed from Charles Shiffer at the cost of <br />$3.05 per home for a total of-935 homes which totals $2,851.75 per <br />month for two years. The contract can be cancelled by either party <br />upon a 30-day notice. Mayor Leech commented Mr. Shiffer is our <br />current hauler and this is the second time the contract has been <br />advertised for bids: Mr. Bor.donaro said everybody is well satisfied <br />w3.th his service. Mr: Schul't'e stated there will be no moral claim <br />payment made this year and h`opes that Mr. Shiffer is fully aware of <br />his obligations.? ? ? . <br />I <br />Ndr.
