-5- <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Planning & Zoning: Councilman Bordonaro reported the Commission denied <br />a proposal from Unity Church, and lot split request re Morgan & Bardou on <br />Hickory Hill & S.O.M. <br />Mr. Bennett asked if something could be done about the busses parked at the <br />Highland Road Baptist Church.If we don't have any control, we ought to look <br />into some legal means where we can control the unsightly parking. Solicitor <br />Byrnes would check into. <br />Recreation: Councilman Bennett reported the Committee would hold a pet show <br />for the Village children on October 5. Also they would handle the Halloween <br />party at Center School this year. <br />Cemetery: Mrs. Negrelli complimented Mr. & Mrs. Harry Krause on the main- <br />tenance of the grounds and advised repair would begin on the crypt as soon <br />as the equipment is available. <br />C.odification Committee: Mrs. Negrelli reported the project is on schedule. <br />GENERAL REPORTS: <br />Mr. Relic asked that if there are any anticipated major expenditures the <br />Village Departments are requested to submit them to him as soon as possible <br />as the operating budget for 1975 has to be prepared. <br />Mr. Hovancsek reported the Beech Hill pumping station is 50% done. He <br />further advised the Echo Drive water main project was moving along. <br />Mr. Bennett asked if the apartments were going to be permitted to use our <br />already overloaded pumping station before it is improved. Mr. Hovancsek <br />said we couldn't prevent it. Any sewer ban would have to be enforced by <br />the County Regional Sewer Authority; however he would check with the County <br />per request of the Mayor. <br />Mr. Hovancsek added he didn't feel we could refuse to issue occupancy permits <br />in the Village. Mr. Bennett asked what happens when the station becomes over- <br />loaded to which Mr. Hovancsek replied the effluent goes into the stream. <br />Mr. Bordonaro asked what the status was on screening around the industrial <br />park agreed to by Mr. Paris. The Mayor advised the landscaping for the sewer <br />plant has been contracted. The sign for entranceways was proposed and has to <br />be further discussed. The Mayor said until a decision was made as to what is <br />going in on the two corners, he thought it was premature to do anything to the <br />entrance,on Wilson Mills. <br />A leng±thy discussion ensued regarding the pros and cons of changing the name <br />of Beta Drive.
