R.V. ORDINANCE - ORDINANCE 74-49, entitled, " AN ORDINANCE <br />REGULATIIJG THE PARKING AND/OR STORING OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLES <br />UPON PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN THE STILLAGE OF MAYFIELD AND REPEALING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 74-181' became effective Nov. 1, 1974. <br />MARC is a recreational council which includes four municipalities <br />in the Mayfield City School District. In September, Mayfield <br />Village decided to withdraw. Representatives of the Village and <br />MARC will meet a5 soon as possible to discuss the matter. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: Over 80 applicants took examinations for new <br />positions on the Police Department. Se].ections will be made after <br />test results are in, physicals and interviews by Mayor Leech, Ghief <br />5hortle and Mre Relic. <br />Fire Department: At the next council meeting legislation will be <br />introduced to add an additional fireman. <br />REGIONAL SEWER AUTHORITY: Representatives frocn the Regional Sewer <br />Authority will meet Nov. 19, 1974 with the Mayor and our Village <br />Engineer to discuss new proposed rules and regulations. <br />STATUS OF LAW SUITS: A public hearing date on the C.E.I. law suit <br />has not been set. A pretrial hearing with Judge Sweeney will <br />probably be held in the next few weeks. Weisberg et al versus <br />Mayfield Village will probably go to trial Novs 25. This involves <br />property between Highland and White Roads that was zoned to <br />residential. <br />OLD BUSINES5: <br />Ordinance 73-27: Mr. Bordonaro suggested that Ordinance 73-27, <br />concerning referundum on all zoning issues be tabled until the next <br />meeting. <br />Ordinance 74-48: Mr. Barclay reported that Ordinance 74-48 which <br />provides for revisions of the Architectural Board has had two <br />reaclings. It will be considered at the December meeting. <br />NEW BUS IlVESS : <br />Ordinance 74-52: The Niayor stated that the Village has been looking <br />for additional property. He added that the progerty on S.O.M. <br />Center between the School Board Building and the Arco Station can <br />be purchased from the 5tate Savings Development Co. for $75,000. <br />The Village has secured a lengthy appraisal of the property and <br />Mayor Leech urged Council to purchase the l.and. Mr. Relic advised <br />that $40,000 which had been set aside for the purchase of the Fire <br />Truck and $35,000 from the General Fund will be available:.to purchae <br />the property,: THe fire truck is to be delivered in about 18 months. <br />Money will be accumulated during that time toward its purchase. <br />Additional money for the fire truck will be borrowed from a b:ank <br />at that time on=:a one or two year loan. <br />Council as a Whole introduced Ordinance 74-52, entitled, " AN <br />ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM <br />THE STATE SAVING5 DEVELOPMEN:T CORPORATION." <br />7 2 -
