4. The Finance Committee .recommended that each department head receive a budget, stating. the amount that they have to spend. At the end of each month, they will be given a record of the amount spent. The Finance. Committee approved the purchase of anew clutch for the tractor at a price of $109.32. It approved the consolidation of the. criminal_.repor.ts and tickets, Nothing was resolved concerning the re-evaluation of the salary schedule and ranks of the Police.Department. Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Schmidt, introduced Ordinance No. 1047, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE CREATING .THE POSITION OF BUILDING INSPECTOR AND SERVICE DIRECTOR AND REPEALING ORDTNANCE.NUMBERS 921, 956, 992, 1037 and 1042." Mr. Schmidt, seconded by I~1r. Davis, moved that the rules of law requir- ing an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. Roll Call: Ayes -"Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Jones, Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. Nays - None. Motion Carried. Rules Suspended. Motion Carried Ordinance Passed The Building Inspector and Service Director shall be compensated for his services at the rate of $8,100.00 per year. Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr, Schmidt, introduced Ordinance No, 1048, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE N0. 252 AS AMENDED BY CHANGING THE COMPENSATION OF THE ROAD FOREMAN."
