6. Mr. Davis thanked Nlr. Zockemer, Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Pink for their work on preparing the Budget, Mayor Busa added his thanks to Mr, Aavis, also, Planning and Zoning - Mr, Fitz-Gerald. Mr. Fitz-Gerald read. the minutes of the July 8, 1968 meeting. Mr, Fitz-Gerald asked Mr. Edelman to check on the ownership of the corner lot on 2-71 and Wilson Mills Road on the north side. This will be checked for the Texaco lawsuit. Safety and Service - Mr. Schmidt. Mr. Schmidt read the minutes of the July 1, 1968 meeting. Mr. Schmidt has exhausted his demands for mail boxes on both sides of Wilson Mi11s Road, south of SOM Center Road, P~fayor Busa will write to the regional director,' It was suggested that the Mayor and Council form a legal cooperating council between the neighboring villages. After discussing the licensing of children's bicycles, primarily for the purpose of safety, it was decided not to issue licenses, but to strengthen safety rules. The Committee had asked about a right hand turn with caution, north on 271 from Wilson Mills Road. Chief Shortle will check on this. Mr. Edelman will investigate the legali-ty of Metropolitan Park arrests of Mayfield Village citizens being tried in outside courts other than the Village of Mayfield. The Village will enforce the Ordinance against the use of firecraclcers. Chief Shortle is checking the prices of a new stretcher that will fold as a chair to manipulate around the corners. The Police Manual is ready for printing. Police Car No. 153 has been transferred to the Service Department. The ditch at Metropo-litan~Park and SQki Center Road has been satisfactorily completed. Mr. D'Agostino is working on the Building and Service.Department Manual, Chief Hejcl presented the rianual of the Fire Department for printing. Chief Hejcl was given a progress chart including the fallowing information: .names, addresses, telephone numbers, availability, possession of radio recall and attendance records for all firemen, to be filled out and forwarded to the Mayor by August 15, 1968. Building and Service Department - Mr. D'Agostino. The Service Department~~has cleaned~125 catch basins in the Village, They have been notified.by the State that the Village has to clean .the catch basins on SOM Center Road. Mr, D'Agostino will check the price.,of work done by.the.Seryice Department versus bids from an outside contractor. Mayor Busa asked Mr. Weiss and Mr. Edelman to check on the ,progress of the widening
