(4) <br />Mr. Schmidt;, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that the rules of law .requiring an <br />Ordinance to` be read on .three .separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - riessrs. Comella, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Rules Suspended. <br />Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved .that Ordinance No. 1093 be approved and <br />passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Ordinance Passed. <br />Village Engineer - rir. Peterson. <br />Procedure for acceptance of streets was discussed. The following was .agreed upon: <br />The Engineer will walk Derby Drive, Aintree Park Drive and Hunt Circle, because <br />Maintree Realty Company has asked that these streets be checked. These streets <br />will then be checked by the streets and roads committee. The reports of the <br />Engineer and the streets and roads committee will be presented to Council for their <br />approval and acceptance. The Engineer feels that Hickory Hill should not be ac- <br />cepted until next year. <br />The height of the fire hydrants in Aintree was checked. It was suggested that <br />the high ones be lowered and the low ones raised. The fire hydrants have not <br />been checked on Hickory~Hill. <br />Mr. Peterson wrote to the County and the State concerning Beecher's Brook. He has <br />not received an answer. He will follow through on this. Mr. Peterson reported <br />that it is almost a financial impossibility to reroute the creek. Mr. 6Jeiss and <br />Mr. Schmidt will check the area to determine the possibility of diverting part of <br />the water into the freeway catch basin. <br />Police Department - Police Chief Shortle. <br />i <br />He gave a report for the month of November. Police Chief Shortle will go,.to <br />Lima to pick up the new police ambulance. <br />Mayor Busa read a letter of thanks from the Park Board for our support on the <br />renewal of the levy on November 8, 1968. <br />Mr. Schmidt read a, report from the New Fire Truck Acceptance Committee, .recommending <br />the acceptance of the new fire truck and paying the balance to the Young Fire Equip- <br />ment Company, and moved that this report be accepted. Mr. Davis seconded the Motion. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Building Committee - Mr. Bordonaro. <br />Mr. Bordonaro read a report of the Building Committee's meeting. They suggested the <br />rental of rugs for the entrance halls of the Village Hall. <br />
