Schmidt. <br />Mr. Schmidt gave a report for the year of ,1968: Boys' and girls' soft ball teams <br />have been organized, soccer teams, home swim program, a coliseum swim program, an <br />outing to watch the Cleveland Indians and a carnival. They have a skating rink <br />in the rough stages. In January, the Recreation Committee started with no funds; <br />they now have a balance of $840.20. The Committee has increased in numbers from <br />6 to 27. <br />The Council and the Mayor commend the Recreation Committee for a job more than well <br />done. <br />Union Cemetery - Mr.,Donaldson. No report. <br />Streets and Roads - Mr. Fitz-Gerald. No report. <br />Civil Defense - Mr. Bordonaro. No report. <br />Mayor's Advisory Board - Mr. Fitz-Gerald. No report. <br />New Village Hall Building Committee - Mr. Comella. No .report. <br />Village Income Tax - Mr. Donaldson. <br />Mr. Lockemer reported that we have received approximately $22,000.00 for 1968. This <br />amount is more than was. expected. <br />Public Relations - Mr. Donaldson. <br />A meeting has been scheduled for. the first of the year. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Davis: <br />rir. Davis, seconded by Mr. Schmidt, introduced Pay Ordinance No. 544-P. <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes - Messrs. Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. <br />Nays - None. , <br />Motion Carried. <br />Pay Ordinance Approved. <br />The Finance Committee has worked out the 7 1/2% pay increase for the Village employees <br />and is in the process of setting up the budget for 1969. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Schmidt. <br />Mr. Schmidt read the Minutes of the December meeting. The Committee recommended the <br />purchase of a new auger for the small truck for the spreading of salt. <br />A Twelfth Night Christmas Tree Burning program will be held January 6, 1969, at <br />7:30 at the Senior High School. <br />Service Department - Mr. D°Agostino. <br />He gave a report for the month of November. <br />Fire Department - Fire Chief Hejcl. <br />The Turkey Festival was a great success.
