MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />May 19, 1969 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session at the Village <br />Hall 'on Monday May 19, 1969, at 8:00 P.M. , Mayor Busa, presiding. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present - Mayor Busa, Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, <br />Donaldson, Schmidt and Davis. <br />Absent - None <br />Mr. Schmidt, seconded by Mr. Davis, moved that the minutes of the April 21, <br />1969 , meeting be approved as written. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Comella, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Donaldson, Schmidt <br />and Davis. <br />Nays - None <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Old Business <br />Mr. Edelman reported that the Judge had not signed the Journal Entry, con- <br />cerning the Texaco Oil Co. case versus the Village. <br />Mr. Lockemer had no further report on the city income tax situation. <br />Mr. Donaldson reported that the contract for the paving of Kenwood Drive <br />had been reviewed and signed. Work will begin next week. <br />Chief Shortle reported that the Leeds Computer is on order. It is expected <br />to be in by the end of June. <br />Chief He~cl stated that the siren on top of the Village Hall is blowing at noon. <br />Streets and Roads - Mr. Fitz-Gerald <br />The newly formed subcommittee met with the Safety and Service Committee, <br />and the residents who were involved on May 15, 1969 to discuss the sewer <br />problem and the widening of SOM Center Road. The States' obligation is to <br />extend the sewer to the nearest creek. To prevent flooding conditions, the <br />committee feels that the 72" storm sewer should be extended.: However, no <br />funds have been allocated for the extension. The committee felt that the <br />problem could be worked out if the residents would deed their ten feet of <br />frontage to the state; the state would give the village credit and the village <br />would pay the remainder of the extension of the sewer. Mr. Fitz-gerald re- <br />ported that a date will be set for a:, second meeting. <br />The Mayfield Village Resident Picnic was discussed. This picnic will include <br />
