Mayor Busa appointed Mr. Comella as Chairman <br />of this committee, Mr. Comella accepted the chairmanship and asked for <br />volunteers for the committee. <br />Mr. Hovancsek explained the additional $ 5.00 license plate fee. This fund <br />remains with the county engineer, and is distributed on a county wide basis <br />by priority. Applications should be submitted for specific sections of <br />county roads. <br />Architectural Board - Mr. Comella <br />The Architectural Board met on May 8, approved the submitted plans and <br />reported a total value to date of ~ 2,019,500.00 <br />Building Cpmrriittee - Mr. Bordonaro <br />The Building Committee recommended that drapes be purchases for the Mayor's <br />Office, that the storm windows be removed from the four corner. windows of <br />the village hall for ventilation and that the Clerk-Treasurer's office be <br />moved into the Mayor's former office, leaving the former office of the Clerk <br />for meetings. <br />Recreation Committee - Mr. Schmidt <br />The recreation committee is working on the grading of the four acre site of <br />the Village. They need quite a iot of fill dirt. They will grade and seed <br />the skating rink across from Fisher°s Tavern. <br />Mayor's Advisory Board - Mr. Fitz-Gerald <br />Mr. Fitz-Gerald read the minutes of the May 8, 1969 meeting. Topics that <br />were discussed were - apartments proposed for Upper Forty, Heinens', 1 290 <br />and the newly built building on the state property. Mr. Edelman and Mr. <br />D°Agostino said that it was not necessary for the state to ask for a building <br />permit, just a courtesy. The Mayor and Council directed Mr. D'Agostino to <br />contact the state about their plans. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Schmidt <br />Mr. Schmidt reported that the committee had rejected the proposal to purchase <br />striping equipment and had recommended that the A& B Farking Lot Construction <br />Co. be given the contract. <br />Our radio contract with University Heights will expire soon. <br />Mr. Hovancsek suggested that Chief Hejcl contact Highland Heights concerning <br />the raising of the fire hydrant under the Freeway bridge. <br />- The abandoned well in the Industrial Park has been coveredo <br />The committee recommended that a petty cash fund be established for the Fire <br />Department. <br />It was recommended that a chain saw be purchased for the service department <br />not to exceed $ 300.00. <br />
